RNAO asked you to tell us about the RN who inspired you...and you delivered!

Thank you to all the nurses who responded to our call for stories for Nursing Week 2011.

We wanted to hear about an RN who made a difference in your career, mentored you, or simply inspired you to be a better nurse. Your stories – heartfelt and touching – reveal the importance of support and friendship within a profession that presents everyday challenges difficult to negotiate without the help of others.

This is the 4th consecutive year we’ve collected your personal stories and posted them on the RNAO website during Nursing Week. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we did. And we hope you will come back to the site throughout Nursing Week as we reveal more and more of the touching anecdotes you’ve so generously shared.

REMEMBER: There’s no deadline for sharing a story with us. We are still considering submissions for publication in the summer issue of Registered Nurse Journal. Send your story (500 words or less) to editor@rnao.org. Include your full name, membership number, and a phone number where you can be contacted if your submission is shortlisted for publication
